Trademark Radar is a trading name of Patternsoft Ltd, company number 05990192, registered in England and Wales. Patternsoft Ltd is the data controller for personal data described in this notice.

1. Information we collect

We may collect your name, work email address, company, role, sector of interest, account details, communication preferences and information you provide when registering interest, creating an account or contacting us. We may also keep basic service-delivery records such as email delivery, sign-in and account activity where needed to operate and secure the service.

2. Public-source commercial intelligence

Trademark Radar also processes information from public sources, including trade mark filings, company registers, business websites and other publicly available business information. This may include names and business contact details associated with companies or filings. We use this information to identify and explain possible commercial signals for business customers.

3. Why we use personal data

We use personal data to provide and secure the service, administer accounts, respond to enquiries, deliver requested notifications, improve the product, maintain records and communicate about relevant Trademark Radar services.

Depending on the activity, our lawful basis under UK data-protection law may be performance of a contract, legitimate interests, compliance with a legal obligation or consent. Where we rely on legitimate interests, those interests generally relate to operating the service, business-to-business communication, product improvement, security and providing commercial intelligence while balancing the rights of the individuals concerned.

4. Marketing communications

We may send business-to-business communications where permitted by applicable law and may ask for consent where required. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by using an unsubscribe link where provided or by contacting us. Service or account messages that are necessary to provide the service may still be sent.

5. Sharing and service providers

We may use trusted service providers for hosting, email delivery, authentication, analytics, infrastructure and related operational services. They process information on our behalf under appropriate contractual arrangements. We do not sell personal data.

6. International transfers

Some technology providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as recognised adequacy arrangements or approved contractual protections.

7. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this notice, including service delivery, security, legal, accounting and dispute-resolution requirements. Retention periods vary according to the type of information and why it is held.

8. Your rights

Under UK data-protection law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and in some circumstances to receive a portable copy of information you provided. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

To exercise a privacy right, contact marketing@patternsoft.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

9. Cookies and technical data

The website may use essential technical storage needed for security, authentication or basic operation. If optional analytics or similar technologies are introduced, this notice and any cookie controls will be updated as appropriate.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data against accidental loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

11. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we use personal data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
